Who is Eligible to Participate?
Individuals are eligible to be beneficiaries if they
meet two conditions at the time of enrollment: (1) beneficiaries must
reside in Washington state, (2) must meet the state definition of
developmental disabilities as determined by a representative of the
Department of Social and Health Services, and (3) must be under the age
of 65 at the time of enrollment.
To verify eligibility, contact the office in your
region to request a letter indicating that the prospective beneficiary
meets the state definition of developmental disability. You will need this
determination letter to enroll.
