DDLOT Recruiting for Board Member
The Developmental Disabilities Life Opportunities Trust is seeking candidates to fill one vacant position on the Board.

Candidates must be parents or family members of a person with a developmental disability. In addition, a background in leadership, finance, actuarial science, management, business, public policy, community development, or fundraising is desirable.

About the Board
Through their quarterly meetings, the Governing Board sets policy and serves as Trustee for Washington’s Developmental Disabilities Endowment Trust Fund, commonly called the DD Life Opportunities Trust. The Trust was established by the State Legislature in 1999 and opened its doors for enrollments July 1, 2002. Currently, there are 1,600 trusts enrolled in the program and the combined value of all the trusts is over $27 million.

Submit an application through the Governor’s Office of Boards and Commissions at http://www.governor.wa.gov/boards/application/application.asp. Identify the DD Endowment Trust Fund Governing Board as the Board you are interested in applying for. All applications are due by: July 29, 2011. Members of the Governing Board will interview candidates and the Governor makes the final appointments to the Board.
